Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing,there is a field. I’ll meet you there.When the soul lies down in that grass,the world is too full to talk about.Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’doesn’t make sense any more.

This poem is about true love which could not find place in this so-called civilised world.. rumi through this poem has told his lover about a place, away "beyond the ideas of wrongdoing and right-doing" that is beyond the narrow-mindedness and baseless rules in the society (probably) because of which the lovers could not unite in this world. Again, according to me, he is referring to afterlife and saying that if not here in this world, there is a field out there where there are no rules, no perception of things as wrong and right, no restrictions that will stop them from being one. when they die, he'll meet his lover there in that field and when they finally meet,their souls ( referring to afterlife) will lie down in the grass and then they'll be content, there will be no need for them to actually talk because just being with one another would be enough and so he says "the world is too full to talk about. the ideas according to which the world works , the languages people use to speak, everything in the materialistic world will have no significance in that magical field where only love exists. "even the phrase 'each other' will not make sense" because in that field they'll be together , they'll be one ( 'each other wont make sense). this quote has been beautifully used at the end of the film 'rockstar' , directed by Imtiaz
